2023 KANS Provincial Conference

The Kinesiology Association of Nova Scotia is proud to present their first Provincial Conference!

Hosted on Sunday, October 1st at the beautiful Dalplex, this event will bring students, professional kinesiologists, and academics together for a day of networking and continuing education. 

Meet us in Dalplex Room 204 Sunday morning for check-in at 9:30am where hot beverages will be provided.

Kicking off at 10:00am, Kinesiologist and Personal Trainer Logan will begin by discussing the Kinesiologist's scope of practice and established, prospective, and speculative careers for Kins

Following up at 11:00am, Michel LaDouceur, PhD, will discuss Coaching as a Kinesiologist.

At 12:00pm we will break for lunch with light refreshments provided for by KANS.

Resuming at 1:00pm, David McArthur, PhD, will be discussing his work in concussion management and the role Kinesiologists Play. 

At 2:00pm, Joy Chiekwe, CEP, will bridge the gap between clinic and community working as a Certified Exercise Physiologist.

And to close out the day at 3:00pm, our Keynote speaker, Dr. Brent Brookbush will join us virtually to discuss the importance of implementing a systematic approach when developing human movement interventions.

Attending the conference in person counts as 7 units towards your continuing education requirements as a kiniesiologist. 

A video recording of all 5 presentations will be made available to registrants to access online for 90 days after the event.
